Celebrate The Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here.
What am I celebrating this week?
- I’ve been learning a lot about book cover design. (See previous post.)
- I’ve finally gotten my blog posts written.
- My family and I spent a fun day with friends relaxing, swimming, and canoeing on Lake Champlain.
- We’ll be attending the wedding of a long-time family friend this weekend, and the weather looks like it’ll be perfect.
What other celebrations are going on out there?
It’s been sunny in Scotland for a whole week. On second thoughts, that’s not a small thing, it’s a big deal! Definitely worth celebrating.

Funny! When we visited Scotland, we were there for about a week in July. We had a couple of misty days, but it only rained on us once. It was beautiful!

So we found out. Whenever we told anyone about the weather we had, they were amazed.

I didn’t know you could make covers with PowerPoint. Is it hard to do?

A friend of mine just got a well-deserved promotion at work, and I’m happy! Sounds like a great day at the lake. 🙂
