Celebrate the Small Things!

Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit and now hosted by Lexa Cain to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here. CelebrateSmallThings_Badge

For the past couple of weeks, it seems like a lot of my daily activities have revolved around snow. So, my celebrations:

  1. For the moment, the sky is blue, and it’s not snowing! Unfortunately, that won’t last long. We’re supposed to get more snow this weekend. Am I glad I don’t live in Boston.
  2. I’m getting plenty of exercise. I’ve shoveled varying amounts of snow out of my 100 ft. long, steep driveway 11 out of the last 17 days.
  3. We have more than enough snow to go sledding — our favorite winter outdoor activity. Now, if it would just warm up above zero…

What other celebrations are going on out there?

  1. Brrrr. Sounds cold where you are. Your driveway is really long! At least it’s good exercise and gets the blood moving. And then coming in to a cup of hot cocoa is nice, right? Happy Valentine’s Day!

  2. Yay for sunshine! I am jealous of the snow.. mostly, though at this point it’s just that I’m missing out being out in Northern New England during record-levels of snow.
I am now celebrating that I am done with what has been a really trying week on many fronts. It is done, and I have weekend plans for recuperation to get a fresh start on Monday.
