Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit and now hosted by Lexa Cain to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here.
I took a bit of a breather this week after blogging every day for two weeks with my blog tour. Now, I’m primed and ready to go for the April A to Z Challenge! Celebrations for this week:
- The snow is finally melting, and it’s warming up a little!
- “Frozen Fever!” (No, I’m not sick. 🙂 ) We went to see the new live-action Cinderella movie from Disney, and at the beginning, there was an animated short with all the main characters from the “Frozen” realm that was just hilarious.
- Girl Scout cookies! We bought five boxes, and they were gone in a week.
What other celebrations are going on out there?

I want to see Frozen Fever, but I don’t want to watch Cinderella

Frozen Fever was very cute and so funny. You’ll probably be able to catch it online at some point, like they did with the Tangled short about the wedding cake (that I also found hysterical).

Yay for melting snow!

Yes, yay! Though as I’m writing this, the rain is turning into snow showers and starting to accumulate. 😦 I knew I shouldn’t have mentioned it.

Great celebrations! How was Cinderella? I’ve been debating going to see it.

Cinderella was okay. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible either. Kind of meh. My daughter really liked it, though. The costumes were beautiful.

I’m looking forward to the A to Z challenge too! Much more than last year when I didn’t know what to expect and wasn’t sure it was for me. This year I know it is, and I feel really enthusiastic – so that’s worth celebrating.

I never saw Frozen, so I fell like I missed a bit of Frozen Fever. It was cute, but I probably would have found it even funner had I known the characters.
I’m doing the A to Z this year too, but I kinda decided last minute and unlike other years am totally unprepared.

I’m not as prepared as I was last year, but I’m trying to catch up.

Spring is wonderful and I really loved Cinderella – it was one of the best movie versions I’ve seen.

Spring is my favorite season, which is probably why I’m so impatient for it to get here. My favorite version of Cinderella is the musical The Slipper and the Rose with Richard Chamberlain and Gemma Craven from 1975 or ’76. I have an old VHS copy I pull out and watch every so often. Very romantic.

I had to laugh at the mystery of the vanishing Girl Scout cookies. I’ve read that book many times myself! lol Congrats on blogging so much for your tour, getting some recovery time, and being ready for the A-Z! Yay for great movies and warmer weather. Have a lovely weekend! 🙂

Thank you, Lexa! That sounds like a great title for the younger version Nancy Drew Mysteries.

Cookies don’t seem to last long, do they?

It’s amazing how fast they disappear.

The 70’s?? Wow, that sounds so nice. Not so much the 27, though. But it’s almost April. It’s gotta warm up soon.

I think those Girl Scout cookies have some kind of magical property where they wink out into another dimension. It couldn’t be because someone else was eating them, could it? 😉

Ha, ha. I think so, too. I’m blaming their disappearance on my kids.

Melt, snow, melt! Maybe if enough people take up the chant, it will happen! 🙂
