Celebrate the Small Things!

Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit and now hosted by Lexa Cain to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here. CelebrateSmallThings_Badge

It’s been another busy week! I can’t believe how fast the summer is flying by. I’d like to celebrate:

  1. Visiting with my brother and his family up from PA.
  2. Getting my car fixed.
  3. The local Artist’s Guild chose me to be the featured artist for their upcoming newsletter!
  4. Someone has already checked my book out of the library!

What other celebrations are going on out there?

  1. I know, tell me about it. I feel like time is moving quicker and I’m getting less done each week, it doesn’t make any sense. Lol. Congratulations on being picked to be the featured artist. Must feel really strange, but also wonderful to know your book has been checked out too.

  2. Oh my gosh I was smiling at your Artists’ Guild selection and then – WOO HOO – you have a library patron !!! Personally that’s even more exciting to me than selling a book would be. Very exciting 😀

  3. It might not be big, but one person checking out your book is a nice start. Also nice that the car is fixed and you got to see family. And congrats on the feature! Hope you have a nice weekend.

    • I was really happy about it. I think it had something to do with all the publicity I had lined up. Whatever the reason, I’m just glad the librarian got the book catalogued. And it is good to know someone was interested enough in the book to pick it up.

  4. It’s wonderful that you’ll be the newsletter’s featured artist, so lots more people will find out about you and your book. And yay that it’s been checked out of the library! I hope they spread the word and many more people read it! Have a great weekend!

  5. These are wonderfully worthy celebrations, Lori. What fantastic news to be a celebrated anything these days, but to find out someone wants to share your work? That’s a total daymaker. And equally as exciting to hear about the library check out. I’d be doing a hundred cartwheels across the lawn.
    Wahoo!
