Back in June, Celine Jeanjean tagged me for the Love / Hate Challenge. Thanks, Celine! The idea is to list ten things you love and ten you hate, and then tag ten people to continue the Challenge. You can read about it on Celine’s blog, Down the Rabbit Hole.
Ten things I love (in no particular order):
- My memories
- My kids’ smiles and laughter
- Writing
- Taking long walks in the woods
- The way the woods smell after it rains
- Swords and old keys
- A good book
- Curling up with my kids to watch a movie
- Solitude
- IHOP pancakes!
Ten things I hate (ditto):
- Spiders!
- Sexism, and any other prejudice
- Not getting a real person on the phone
- Computer crashes
- Rap music
- Getting sick
- Running late
- Traffic jams (particularly when I’m running late)
- People who are unkind
- The taste of mustard
And that’s it! I’m going to choose not to tag anyone specifically for this, because I tagged quite a few people for the last one I did, but if anyone would like to continue the challenge, feel free to jump in!

IHOP pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream–YES! We have so much in common 🙂

My kids smiles and laughter – yes! But, I have to disagree with you on mustard since I happen to like it. But I think it’s okay that we have unique tastes. Down with mustard prejudice. 🙂 Joking.

Ha, ha! We’ll have to agree to disagree! 🙂

I hate everything other than the mustard. Love mustard 🙂

I see I’m in the minority here. 🙂 I’m fine with ketchup and mayonnaise…

Where I come from, we actually cook food in mustard, so I guess I’ve grown up with it 😉

That would be a good place for me to lose weight. I wouldn’t want to eat anything. 🙂

lol they do cook with stuff other than mustard. In my part of India there’s a wide variety of spicy and non-spicy fare.

Oh, good. That’s a relief! There’s a restaurant not too far from here that serves Indian cuisine. I should try it someday.

You have to be wary– not many places serve authentic Indian food. And then there are many types of cuisine, the north and the south are usually the ones represented. If you’re trying Indian food for the first time, best to go with an Indian, if you happen to know one. 😉

Thanks for the advice! I’ll remember it.

I love IHOPs strawberry stuffed french toast, writing, reading, solitude (particularly a nice bubble bath which is just a luxury now) and movie night with the hubby and kids. And ugh, I’m with you there about the spiders. Can’t stand them and they scare me. My husband thinks it’s funny because I’m bigger in size of a spider. That I don’t have nothing to be afraid of. 😦

Yes, I know what you mean about the spiders and size, but I can’t help it. There’s just something so creepy about them. Their bites are pretty nasty, too.

Fun lists. Swords and old keys are definitely things to love. 😀

rude people, def for me! honestly, I’ve always considered myself a nice person but other people have turned me much tougher!

Unfortunately, you can’t always avoid the rude people. When I get annoyed, I try to think about why they might have acted that way — were they having a bad day, hard times, etc. Not that those are reasons to be rude. Anyway, sometimes it helps.
