Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit and now hosted by Lexa Cain to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here.
My internet connection was giving me problems this morning, but it seems to be working now. This week has been pretty quiet, which is a good thing. My celebrations:
- I sold a half-dozen books at the Milton Artists’ Guild’s Holiday Art Show and Sale last Saturday!
- Got more winterizing work done on my house.
- Made some editing progress.
- Looking forward to participating in another craft show this weekend!
What other celebrations are going on out there?

Glad the art and craft shows are doing so well for you! Bummer about the flaky Internet though.

Sounds like you’ve had a productive week even if the internet was shaky.

Yes, it was a good week! I don’t know what was up with the internet. Hopefully, it will behave itself now.

I just love reading your posts every week. You’re the only one I know who’s working hard and actually seeing some results. The sales may be in drips and drabs, but it all adds up in the end (which is better than some of us are doing). Keep it up!! 🙂

Thanks, Lexa! As you said, it all adds up, and that’s what’s important. Have a great weekend!

Selling 6 books is wonderful!!!!! I’ve only participating in one book/craft show and I sold 3 books, and they were sold to friends!!! Hahahaaa…

Congrats on your book sales! I’m not much of a salesperson, so I doubt it would work out for me. I’d be terrified to be out there in public. It’s great that you have the personality to pull it off and the work to pull them in.

Thank you! I’m still not comfortable with putting myself out there, but it’s easier than it used to be.

A craft show sounds fun, and congratulations on your sales! That’s always a good bonus to any week.
Celebrations…. Hmmm… well, Kyoto is gearing up for Maple Leaves Season, which means the tourists are in full force, everything in sweet potato-flavored, and I’m cleaning my camera lenses, haha.
There is a cool light show exhibit going on at Nijo Castle in the downtown area that I may try to attend this weekend if it stops raining (not likely). If not, I’ll go and visit sometime next week. 🙂

Thanks very much! I hope you got to see the light show exhibit. It sounds like something I’d love to go to, particularly if it’s in a castle. 🙂

I haven’t had a chance to go yet, but I think I definitely will sometime after the momiji (maple leaves) tourist season dies down a bit…. I can hardly get down the hill from my house right now the streets are so inundated with tourists!

That would be weird. I can’t imagine having that many people around all the time, hindering travel.

They are good. I recently found out my book will be coming in hard cover in Feb/2016. I asked the local librarian if I could to a reading sometime after that. I don’t have an answer but I asked and to me that was the biggest hurtle so far. 🙂

Ooh, hard cover — that’s exciting! Congratulations! And good for you for asking about the reading. I was nervous in the beginning when I did one, but after I got started, I was fine. I’m sure you’ll do fine, too. 🙂
