Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit and now hosted by Lexa Cain to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here.
I took a little longer break than I had planned, but that’s okay. It was much needed, and I accomplished quite a bit. So without further ado, here are my celebrations for the week:
- I finished and posted the latest version of the book trailer for my forthcoming second book, Trouble By Any Other Name! You can see it HERE.
- Only 8 more chapters to go (out of 40) for my final edits!
- My kids are finishing up their midterm exams this morning, and then it’s off for the weekend!
- That big snowstorm that’s supposed to hit the East Coast on Saturday will likely miss us up here in northern New England. Since I’m a snow shoveler and not a skier or a snowboarder, that makes me happy.
Belated Happy New Year to everyone! What other celebrations are going on out there?

The trailer is cool. Love the music behind it. Feeling very excited for it now. Sounds like your coming along with it really well. I hate snow; Best if you can avoid it.

Thank you! I’m getting there!
I’m not a big fan of snow, either. I don’t mind small amounts, but the big blizzards, not so much.

I’m a Summer person. I hate being cold and always have a blanket with me.

Yes, I’d rather be hot than cold.

At least if it had hit you, it would be snow and not the sleet we’re getting.
Glad you’re so close on final edits!

Ugh, sleet. That’s no fun either. Drive carefully!
I’m almost there with the edits. Getting closer!

Sounds like you have much to celebrate! We got snow yesterday in Kansas City but no ice so that makes me happy. I am celebrating another chapter almost done in my book and my daughters dance recital tomorrow. She is extremely excited and I am too. 😊

Ice is worse. Glad you didn’t get any! Yay for your writing progress and your daughter’s dance recital! Those are fun to watch.

Congrats on the new book trailer and on being so close to finishing the edits! That’s awesome! I’m glad the storm will miss you. Winter’s cold enough without snow shoveling duty. Have a good weekend!

Thanks, Lexa! It was only a couple of degrees above 0 Fahrenheit this morning. Brrrrrrr!

I love snow, but that’s probably because we hardly ever get any here. Good luck finishing those edits, have a great weekend 🙂

I like sledding and sugar on snow, but those are about the only things I like snow for. I have to admit, though, it does look pretty on the trees, just not in my driveway.

I’m glad the storm will/did miss you. I’ve been worried about more than one of my buds on the east coast. Stay safe. 🙂

Thanks, Anna! I hope your friends are okay. That’s way too much snow at one time for anyone.

Glad you didn’t get hit by the storm. Even in Georgia, we got a little snow.
