Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here.
This has been another week working on my book trailer. I couldn’t seem to stop tweaking it. All I have left to do now is get the background music synchronized the way I want it, which unfortunately is a lot easier said than done. So this week I’m celebrating:
- My father-in-law’s condition is slowly improving.
- I taught myself the basics of how to use a free music editing program I downloaded. Now I just need to figure out how to smooth out the transitions.
- A bit of early Christmas shopping!
What other celebrations are going on out there?

Hi Lori, I’m glad to hear your father-in-law is getting better. How organized of you to do some early Christmas shopping! Sounds like fun. 🙂

Thanks. I try to spread the shopping out so I don’t get a huge pile of bills all at once. That’s the theory anyway. 🙂

Thanks, and you’re welcome. I like it when programs turn out to be easier to figure out than I expected.

I haven’t the foggiest idea how to do a trailer, but I did help and watch my daughter create a dvd with pics and music and it was very difficult to get the music to start at the exact picture. Good Luck, Lori. And again, I can’t wait to see it!!!!

Thanks! Lining up the music and photos was a challenge. I hope to have a “rough draft” test run up this week.

I’m glad to hear your FIL is on the mend. I hope he recovers quickly. Yay for getting the music software and learning to use it! Christmas shopping – it’s never too early, huh? Have a lovely weekend! 🙂

This program worked really well and wasn’t hard to use. Of course, reading the manual as I was going helped a lot.

Christmas shopping…NO!!! I don’t even want to think about the fact that I should be doing that now.

So cool that you are working on your book trailer! I wouldn’t even know where to begin! Looking forward to seeing it when you’ve worked out all the kinks. 🙂
I’m like you, I tend to start Christmas shopping early. My husband and I did quite a bit of shopping for the kids last week. It’s kind of nice to feel somewhat “on the ball.” 🙂
