Celebrate the Small Things!

Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit and now hosted by Lexa Cain to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here. CelebrateSmallThings_Badge

Wow, this month is flying right by! I can’t believe we’re halfway through it already. This week I’m celebrating:

  1. Another Indie bookstore, The Flying Pig in Shelburne, VT, agreed to carry my book! Whoo, hoo!
  2. My two flowering crabapple trees have blossomed, and my yard smells heavenly.
  3. A trip to IHOP to celebrate surviving the A to Z Challenge. Love those apple-cinnamon pancakes!

What other celebrations are going on out there?

    • Thanks, Sammy. I’m a little more relaxed than I was. The last few months have been a bit stressful with my book coming out and promotional blogging and then the Challenge. A few other things that had been plaguing me for a while I think might be straightened out now, which helps a lot. And it’s Spring!! Finally!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Congrats on getting your book in another bookstore! That’s great news! Your flowering crabapple trees are beautiful. I wish I could smell them. The IHOP pancakes sound delicious! Have a great weekend, and I hope to hear about more bookstores/vendors for your book! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Your trees look gorgeous and congratulations on getting another bookstore to sell your book – it must take guts to go in and ask people for something and know you might get the answer no. I’ve just joined the Celebrate blog hop so it’s nice to me meet you and find out what you do. I’m also doing the A-Z Road Trip so I’ve been looking through a lot of your April posts – brought back a whole load of memories for me of films, TV series and books – really enjoyed it – thank you ๐Ÿ™‚ https://lorilmaclaughlin.com/

    • Thank you! It’s not easy. The Nike slogan has become my mantra: Just do it!
Welcome to the Celebration blog hop! It’s nice to meet you, too. I’ll be over to visit and read your A to Z. I’m glad you enjoyed mine!

  3. Your trees are beautiful. Ours never last, seems right after they bloom we get a storm that blows all the beautiful blossoms off the trees. Errrrrrrrr Road tripping through a-z, and will be part of celebrate starting Friday.

    • Thank you! Yes, that’s what normally happens to mine, too. This year, though, we had some beautiful weather, and the blossoms lasted longer than usual. Thanks for stopping by on your A to Z road trip and welcome to Celebrate!

  4. Lori, that’s wonderful that another store is carrying your book! Great news. ๐Ÿ™‚ One of these days I will need to eat in an IHOP. When I was little my family used to go to a local breakfast restaurant called Obies that made the best pancakes. Fantastic memories of going there. It’s great to have those family traditions!
