Celebrate the Small Things!

Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit and now hosted by Lexa Cain to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here. CelebrateSmallThings_Badge

The month of May continues to whiz on by. I’m starting to think I might get my spring yard work done before winter sets in again. 🙂 This week I’m celebrating:

  1. Being able to attend and learn from author events.
  2. Finally getting my lawn mowed.
  3. The long Memorial Day weekend, with a moment of silence to remember those who are no longer with us.

What other celebrations are going on out there?

  1. So it’s not just me who feels that May is passing quickly? Actually I feel things have been flying by since January. I always plan to do so much and then only accomplish a part of it… Glad you got your lawn taken care of before the big weekend so you can honor the fallen and enjoy yourself too. 🙂

    • The beginning of the year went by sloooowly for me because of all the snow and freezing cold. Especially February and March. I didn’t think spring was ever going to get here. May has just flown by, though. At this rate, it’ll be fall before I get to enjoy summer. Ack!

  2. I read your post on attending the author bookshop and library appearances and can see why these are part of your celebrations this week – quite big parts of what your future will be bringing. I just hadn’t realised once you’d written a book what else would be necessary – quite daunting I think!! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment – I’m writing my Celebrate post today so pop back later if you have time 🙂 Special Teaching at Pempi’s Palace

    • If I seriously had thought about all the things I’d have to do after publishing my book, I might have had second thoughts… and maybe third and fourth thoughts. I’ll be over to read your Celebrations post.

  3. Thank you for the visit and sweet comment, much appreciated. Hubby had to mow while it was raining last wkend, it had rained so much he hadn’t been able to get out, so started even though it was wet, and about half way through it started raining again and he just kept at it, lol. I mowed again yesterday. It really needed it, guess we’re in the twice a wk time frame with these too cool temps and rain.

  4. Yay for that gorgeous smell of freshly cut grass, that’s definitely something to celebrate. For me this week it’s that the torrential rain has finally come to an end so I can leave the flat and go hiking. I was literally developing cabin fever and Poppy was turning in the devil dog from not enough time outside!
