Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit and now hosted by Lexa Cain to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here.
Wow, this week went by in a whirlwind. Up for celebrations this time around:
- My first TV interview promoting my book! You can read about it HERE.
- My Dad and I took my dryer apart, and I think we can fix it with a couple of new parts. I would sooo rather not have to replace it.
- I joined the local Artist’s Guild, an active group of amazingly talented and very friendly people! I’m looking forward to working with them to promote the arts.
- We went to a local production of the Broadway hit “Cats” and really enjoyed it. The entire cast did a super job!
What other celebrations are going on out there?

Congrats on the interview on TV! That is so exciting! Yay for joining an arts group, seeing the musical Cats, and for maybe getting that dryer fixed with a few parts. Fingers crossed for that. Have a lovely weekend!

Thanks, Beth Ellyn! Growing up on a farm, you find replacing things isn’t always an option, so you learn to take them apart and fix them, which is what I’m hoping to do.

You have more patience than I when it comes to appliances.

Thanks, Alex! I find it really satisfying if I can take something apart, fix it, put it back together, and have it work.

We saw Cats at a local dinner theater a couple of years ago and it was awesome! 🙂

We really enjoyed the production. I had the song “Memories” stuck in my head for several days afterward.

Congrats on Authors Guild! And sorry to hear about the dryer. Had to get a new washer last year and was spared from getting a new dryer too because my husband took it apart and found out it needed to replace the thermal fuse.

Thank you! I’m hoping to spare myself the expense of a new dryer. The fun part will be putting it all back together.
