Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit and now hosted by Lexa Cain to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here.
Wow, this month is flying right by. I can’t believe it’s only two weeks until Christmas. My kids have been sick this week, so I’ve been doing more of my Christmas shopping online. I’m happy to say I’ve got a lot of it done now. Celebrations this time around:
- My kids are feeling better after a nasty cold/flu/stomach bug thing.
- My Christmas shopping is almost done.
- Continued mild weather. It’s weird for this time of the year, but I like it.
- All four books that I brought to the local Kinney Drug store have sold, so I brought in four more. Yay!
What other celebrations are going on out there?

Thanks, Lexa! Selling books at the drug store was an experiment, and so far, it’s worked out well.

Lots to celebrate, especially feeling better. We’ve got hot summer weather here in Australia… can we swap and I’ll take the mild weather?

Hmmm… That’s very tempting since I know the snowstorms will be here sooner or later.

Glad to hear your kiddos are feeling better. I have done all my shopping online so far this season. I even skipped Black Friday. I think I like not hassling with stores, though I don’t know what I’ll do with all the boxes.
Cheers for the book sales!!

Thanks! Ha, ha, yes, I’ll have a lot of boxes to recycle after the holidays, too. I would prefer to shop locally, but I don’t like to deal with the crowds and half the time I can’t find what I’m looking for anyway. Shopping online does have its advantages.

Bummer your kids are sick, but at least it’s before Christmas, not over it. Good work selling your books in the drugstore!

Thanks! I’m hoping they’ll get it all out of their systems before the holiday.
