Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit and now hosted by Lexa Cain to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here.
I hope everyone gets a chance to check out all the authors participating in the 2016 2K Indie Book Tour. Their books sound like amazing reads. Celebrations for this week:
- A snow day! School was canceled last Tuesday because of an ice/sleet/snow storm. My kids were ecstatic. And next week is school vacation!
- I saw a flock of robins on a neighbor’s lawn this morning! Either the birds are really confused, or spring is on its way.
- More editing progress! The end is in sight.
- Carrie Butler of Forward Authority Designs did a fantastic job on the cover for Book II: Trouble By Any Other Name. I’m not quite ready to reveal it yet. Soon.
What other celebrations are going on out there?

Robins!!! Wow, we had another foot of snow. This week is our kids winter break. Glad to hear your edits are coming to an end. That’s a great feeling. Have a nice weekend.

I’m hoping the robins returning means spring is really coming and it’s not just a fluke. It’s been a really weird winter. We’ve had so little snow here, not that I’m complaining. We’ve had our fair share of getting buried in the past. Thanks, Cathrina! Hope you enjoy your weekend, as well!

Snow day with my grandkids. Between LEGOs and dress-up clothes, they had a great time. All Hubs & I had to do was be the audience. Love the creativity!

Sounds like you all had a blast. Kids’ imaginations are wonderful things.

I used to love snow days when the children were little as long as I didn’t have to go into my school – which sometimes happened!! We’ve had freaky weather this winter too in central England and already the birds have started to build nests so I’m a bit worried just in case cold weather is on its way! I know what you mean. I felt sorry for the robins because the temps were down near zero in the mornings for a couple of days. I’ll bet they were wishing they were back down south.

Yay to snow days and vacations coming up! How nice to see the robins too. The last day or two, tons of flowers have started popping up here, and we just had an ice storm last weekend with a snow day. Weird weather! Can’t wait to see your cover! And yay to edits. Wow, tons to celebrate!

I saw my first robin of the season yesterday. It was 60 outside, so it is either confused, or like you said, Spring is on its way 🙂 Congrats on your progress and the cover, Lori! I can’t wait to see it 🙂 Have a great week! ~Lori~

Thank you! Wow, 60 degrees. We haven’t gotten up there yet, but we’ve hit 50 a couple of times. I’m getting excited for spring!

My pleasure, Lori 🙂 Yeah it was a great day. Sadly it has chilled down again to the high 40s. I am excited too!

Confusion is right. Our weather and Nature has been all over the place this “winter.” I suspect we’re gonna hate the flow of bugs in the warm season, because we never got a proper long freeze this winter.
Yay snow day!

You’re probably right about the bugs. As much as I enjoyed the mild winter, I’m not going to enjoy the bugs. Ugh. Thanks for stopping by!
