Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit and now hosted by Lexa Cain to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here.
This has been a weird week weather-wise. We went from 0 degrees F. to 50, then back down into the teens in a span of three days. Mother Nature can’t make up her mind if it’s winter or spring. Or maybe she’s just teasing us. This week I’d like to celebrate:
- School vacation week! It’s been a nice break from the usual hectic school schedule.
- Getting started on my taxes. Last year I procrastinated until the last minute, which was not a good thing to do.
- Going out for pizza! We were out shopping and running errands and spontaneously decided to stop for pizza before going home. Best decision of the day.
- My son, the NASCAR nut, is celebrating the start of the racing season. He was glued to the TV for the Daytona 500 this past Sunday.
What other celebrations are going on out there?

Lori, our weather here in East Tennessee has been crazy at best ~ cold the last few days, but promise of spring-like weather this weekend and early next week before another round of cold moves in. Congrats on getting your taxes done. I hate doing them! We got ours done earlier in the month and got our return quickly. This is the first year we had it directly deposited into our checking. I liked taking this route because I always worried about our return getting stolen out of our mailbox. Speaking of pizza, I’m going to get Pizza Hut to deliver tonight and we’re looking forward to continuing our watch of Damages. Have a good weekend!

Good for you for getting your taxes done so quickly. That’s good thinking about the direct deposit. Pizza Hut was where we went! Enjoy your weekend!

Hi! It feels so good to get taxes over with. I finished early this year, unlike other years waiting till the last minute. So I know how you feel. Your weather sure sounds wierd. Best you can do is dress in layers!

I’m usually a procrastinator when it comes to taxes, so I was trying to avoid that this year.
Dressing in layers is good advice!

Wonky weather aside, it sounds like you and yours had a good week – especially the pizza part! Good luck with your taxes. It’s nice you’re getting an early start on them so you won’t have a freak-out in April. Have a great weekend! 🙂

Thanks, Lexa! Yes, the freak-out. Been there, done that. But not this year. Yay! Hope you’re enjoying your weekend, as well!

Ugh… Don’t remind me about taxes. I hate doing them so much. But on the plus side, when you’re done, you can go and celebrate with more pizza!

We had our vacation week, and one of the highlights was visiting a palace of trampolines. Hippy, hoppy, fun, fun, fun! Have a great week ahead!

A palace of trampolines? Wow, does that sound like fun. I didn’t know there were such places. I’ll have to see if there are any around here. Thanks! You, too!

Taxes! OMG now I have to stop this blogging business and start to work on gathering all that data or I’ll miss the deadline.
