It’s been another one of those crazy busy weeks. Things to celebrate:

  1. The Ghost Walk Tour! It was a blast. I had no idea there were so many hauntings in Burlington, VT.
  2. Apple picking, cider donuts, and apple crisp! Yum!! Our annual trip to the apple orchard is one of my favorite traditions.
  3. College Fair Night! Over 200 college representatives filled the gymnasium at local St. Michael’s College to answer questions from high school students. My daughter is a junior this year, so off we went into the maze of college brochures and financial aid info. It was overwhelmingly noisy and crowded, but we came out with a lot of useful information that will help as we move on with the process.
  4. Farmer’s Markets! The last craft day at the local Farmer’s Market was on Thursday. One lady bought both Book 1 and Book 2 and said she couldn’t wait to read them, which made me happy. 🙂

We’ve had tons of sunshine this week, though it’s been a bit on the warm side. Things to celebrate:

  1. Apple picking! We made our traditional trek to the orchard and loaded up with apples, cider, and donuts (of course).
  2. Vermont Comic Con! My great friends reminded me that it was coming up this weekend (I had completely forgotten about it), and I was able to reserve the last available vendor table. Not only do we get to have fun, but maybe I can sell some books, too!
  3. More book events! I scheduled two more book signing events, one at an indie bookstore and one at a library. Should be interesting.

The days have been much cooler, and the nights quite chilly. Fall has definitely arrived. My celebrations for this week —

  1. Both kids are feeling better and are back in school this week.
  2. My son ran his first cross-country race of the season on one of the more difficult courses and finished third on his team and mid-pack overall — a vast improvement from last season when he generally came in toward the end. I’m very proud of his efforts!!
  3. We’re going apple picking this weekend! Can’t wait for the cider and donuts!
