Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here.
I don’t know where this week went. It seems like a minute ago it was Monday. After going back and looking at my calendar to see what it was that I did this week, I’m celebrating:
- I actually remembered to set the clocks back an hour last weekend. I know that sounds silly, but my forgetting to change the clocks has become a running joke in my family.
- I had a parent/teacher conference for my son and he’s doing great! My daughter is getting straight As, too, even in math. I’m so psyched and really proud of them!
- I made progress winterizing my house.
What other celebrations are going on out there?

Hi Lori! I don’t think my van will ever have the clock changed – it’s too hard to do. It sounds like your children enjoy their school – that’s wonderful. Ah – the old winterizing battle – good luck!
And – yes – a very fast week for me too. Hop over to see my roast!!

I don’t know how to change the clock in my new-to-us vehicle yet, either. I’m going to have to dig out the manual. I’ll be over to visit shortly. 🙂

I’m celebrating the continuation of our sunny, warm gorgeous autumn. As long as I have sun, it’s a good week!

You’re lucky. We’ve had drizzly snow showers all day today. Winter is coming whether I like it or not.

Yay for clocks’ changing and and winterizing – and double yay for kids doing great in school. Those are wonderful things to celebrate! 🙂

There are some clocks I never change because it seems like too much work lol! I’m happy to have the sun now coming up when I need to wake up, but not so happy that I am driving home from work in the dark. 😦 Glad your kids are doing well!

Ha, ha, I agree. There’s one clock in our playroom that went all last year without being changed because there were always too many toys in the way to get to it. 🙂 I don’t like how it gets dark so early now, either. Thanks, Sue!

Luckily my computer and phone update the time automatically. The clocks on the stove and microwave are so far off since I lost the manuals.

I wish all clocks updated automatically. That would be so much more convenient.

I know how your feel about the week flying by. It feels like it just started when it’s already halfway through. Good job to your daughter! Straight As is great!

Thanks, Loni! This past week went the same way.

I hate this whole changing the clocks thing! Usually, I don’t mind it in the fall, because we gain an hour, but I didn’t even feel like I gained anything this year. So weird! It usually takes me about a week to change all the clocks in the house. At least our cell phones and iPods/tablets change automatically! 🙂

I agree. I wish they would just leave the time alone. The spring change is the worst. It takes me at least a week to adjust to getting up an hour earlier. Ugh.

Thanks. This past week was one of those running around so much I didn’t know whether I was coming or going weeks, so I got a bit behind.
