Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly celebration created by VikLit to celebrate the happenings of the week, however small or large. You can learn all about it and sign up for it here.
I know Friday is long gone, but this week I would like to celebrate more video! I made another trailer for my fantasy novel, Lady, Thy Name Is Trouble. This one is more of a character study, rather than a preview of what the story is about, like my last trailer which you can see by clicking here.
I thought this would be a more interesting way of introducing my main character, Tara Triannon. Any and all feedback/comments are appreciated. Thanks!
What other celebrations are going on out there?

This is awesome, Lori. I like it even better than your first one ! Every picture and the words correlated well for me except the daisy photo. I don’t equate daisies with the words ‘passion’s fire’. I think there needs to be a bright red/orange image – something stronger than flowers – to evoke that image. Maybe flowing vibrant scarves or a brilliant sun shot – i’m not sure what 🙂

Thanks, Sammy! The daisies relate to something in the book, but that’s a good point. I’ll have to think about that.

Oh, then leave them. i’ll find out when I read the book 😊

Maybe I can find a photo of red daisies. Would that work better?

Nah, now I’m intrigued to find out how these daisies will become a symbol of passion 😊

Lori, I know who I want to hire to do a book trailer for me if I ever publish a novel. 🙂 Well done! I especially love the music for this one. And I really liked the image about her heart being frozen but safe.

Lori, this trailer is awesome! I like the idea of a trailer tailored to introduce one character, and the music is well-paired to it. Nicely done! It’s so exciting how close your book is to being published!

Lori – what an excellent trailer. So beautiful yet such haunting music. Now I have to read the book – unless you make the movie. Let me know.

Thanks! Haunting — that’s a great word for the music. I’d love to see this book as a movie. I wish I knew how to make one.

If there is a soul left with any vague idea as to how your heroine operates, feels and portrays the world, then I’m totally gobsmacked. A thorough job, with again, the terrific score as accompaniment.
Perhaps you should put up a shingle and start hiring yourself out, Lori?
Well done!

It definitely tells us a lot about the character. Is she the primary romantic plotline? The trailer had a very romance-oriented feel to it.

There is more than one romantic plotline, but yes, she is the primary one.
