This week has been pretty quiet, the lull before the back-to-school flurry coming up. Celebrations this time around —

  1. Went to a classic car show this past weekend and enjoyed seeing all the antique autos and muscle cars.
  2. Finally had time to go through my kids’ closets and pull out everything that doesn’t fit anymore. We ended up with two garbage bags full of clothes to donate to Goodwill.
  3. Now we get to go school clothes shopping this weekend.

Last week was a wash, but this week has been better. Celebrations this time around —

  1. We replaced our aging, rusting-out, mechanically-challenged minivan with a new (to us) vehicle. It’s nice to have a reliable mode of transportation again.
  2. I’m actually getting my blog posts out on time this week.
  3. We got our school supply shopping done. Not that my kids were very happy about that one. 🙂

I can’t believe it’s Friday again already. Even when we’re not running hither and yon, the time still flies. This week, I’d like to celebrate some big things —

  1. My son’s 13th birthday!
  2. I finally set up YouTube accounts for myself and for my imprint, Book and Sword Publishing! Hopefully, at some point, I’ll have book trailers to upload.
  3. More good times with friends at my son’s party coming up this weekend.

It’s been a crazy week with the end of the school year and with my daughter “graduating” from middle school. This fall she’ll be a freshman in high school which makes me more than a little nervous. My baby is growing up way too fast.

Now that I have a moment to breathe, I can think about things to celebrate.

  1. The company I started to publish my own books, Book and Sword Publishing, is financially up and running now. I’m really excited about that!
  2. Flowers are blooming in my gardens, which always makes me happy.
  3. I’m looking forward to visiting family and spending time with my Dad this Father’s Day weekend.
